    • PURPOSE OF ROLE:             

      Support Asia in achieving the Strategic plan through delivering a realistic and transparent monthly demand plan that is the one number the entire business works to.

       

      1. Owns the monthly Demand Planning process for SEAMEA Business Unit

      2. Support the Integrated Business Planning process through tracking and challenging assumptions, risk and opportunities and delivering key market insights.

      3. Monitor and forecast for Distributor inventory levels across all countries.

      4. Ensuring customer data is analysed and interpreted to drive decision making

      5. Supports the sales function with reporting on portfolio availability

                                          

       

      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

*       Ensure Demand Forecast reflects the SEAMEA Business Unit strategy and is adjusted for major decisions in the Commercial Review meetings (IBP).

*       Challenge, influence and validate monthly (weekly where relevant) sales forecasts with Regional managers.

*       Coach Regional Managers into forecasting best practice.

*       Deliver executive summary reports highlighting major risks & opportunities, which contribute to the IBP meetings.

*       Deliver portfolio reporting to support the Asian business.

*       Own and drive key Customer Collaboration. This includes relationship building, communication across internal & external stakeholders and relevant analysis and accurate reporting.

*       Manage the Customer sales & stock on hand information in order to provide communication that facilitates decision making.

*       Support the 3-5 year planning process to mitigate wine shortages.

*       Create and maintain the rolling 24 month Demand Forecast through statistical models, which delivers the long term plan for individual Business Units.

*       Coordinate and manage Demand changes from key areas within the Business Unit:

*       Sales: Promotional plans, pricing, distribution, tax, performance to plan.

*       Marketing: Brand changes; NPD and obsolete products.

*       Allocations & Constrained products.

*       Publish timely forecasts to the centralised system for Production.

      Develop improvements to the forecast

 

 

  • Key Challenges in Achieving Goal(s)

    *       Ensuring accurate information sourced both internally & externally.

    *       Continually improve accuracy and reliability of demand plan through the IBP process

    *       Not only deliver a forecast number but also the key assumptions, market insights, drivers to changes and risk & opportunities

    *       To look past individual biases and identify the most likely outcome

    *       Ability to manage several projects

    *       Prioritising demands on time to meet expectations of customers


     

    Experience, Competencies & Skills: 

    Qualifications/ Memberships:

    *       Fluent in English – strong Mandarin preferable.

    *       University degree / equivalent level (Business or Finance disciplines desirable)

    *       Excellent proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

    *       High degree of ERP system knowledge

    Understanding of Data Warehouse & Reporting tools (Similar to Oracle Financial Analytics)  

    Experience:  

    ·       FMCG or similar demand planning

    ·       Integrated Business Planning processes

    ·       JDA Manugistics Demand Module

    ·       Statistical modelling

        • Experience in supply/ finance insights/ category management  
        • Good experience of working with data analysis systems

    ·       Wine industry experience desirable

    ·       Wine knowledge desirable
