Position Summary:

Treasury Wine Estates seeks a strategic Commercial Finance Manager to play a key role in the revenue management team that identifies and implements best practice pricing behaviors in the US business. The role will include post evaluation of events, recommendations on best practices in retailers, utilize key data sets from IRI and iDig to identify trends and recommend course corrections. It will also assist in the tactical pricing decision making and lead the governance of our in-market activity as compared to plan.

 

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

  • Lead role on pricing tactics review and recommendation

    • Utilize available data sets to review in market performance and establish a best practice of pricing in US market
    • Creation of play book utilizing best practice examples and post evaluations to roll out to sales teams
    • Governance of in market tactics to strategy
  • Support role on tactical pricing review and decision making outside of strategy

    • Review and analysis of tactical pricing requests including recommendations and approvals
  • Build the quality of pricing acumen across the organization to support sound decision making

    • Ability to clearly explain pricing concepts to colleagues
    • Effective working relationship with business partners
  • Ad hoc analysis as required

     

    Qualifications and Experience:

  • BA Degree in Degree qualification in Commerce or related field desired
  • Knowledge of pricing concepts in the wine industry
  • Broad IT systems experience, in particular Excel (advanced skills preferable)
  • Strong analytical skills, able to develop analytical approach to identify issues and frame analysis independently
  • Credentials in dealing with high levels of detailed data
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships at all levels
  • Superior analytical and planning skills
  • Time management, prioritization and ability to work under pressure

Ability to clearly present pricing information to multiple stakeholders and business functions
