The role of Regional Environmental Sustainability, Compliance and Business Continuity Manger is to provide the necessary leadership and oversight to implement a comprehensive and continuously improving sustainability program across the Americas region to reach our 2020 goals and beyond, overseeing the environmental compliance program for the region, along with evaluating, identifying and creating robust business continuity plans and projects that will ensure continuity within our business during times of crisis or change.




Environment Sustainability


  • Leads the Sustainable Futures agenda across the region by influencing behaviors, performing training, fostering engagement, running campaigns, and other activities to improve sustainability behaviors, and overall culture.
  • Is visible and drives the business and business partners to own the environmental sustainability agenda within their organization by providing guidance, coaching and direction.
  • Partners with key individuals in engineering, cellar, maintenance, winemaking, bottling, etc. to move the sustainability program forward and embed sustainable practices into the business.
  • Is a key member of the Global Sustainability Futures team by providing leadership and influencing the direction of the team related to programs, projects and goals that align with regional needs and risks.
  • Develops new tools and processes to support the region’s strategy and achievement of agreed upon goals.
  • Maintains sustainability certifications across the region, and evaluates which certifications are appropriate for the business.
  • Owns the regional sustainability data collection process and reports out on this data to management quarterly.


    Environmental Compliance System


  • Oversees the management of all corrective actions related to Environmental Compliance and Sustainability.  Verifies that sites are managing their actions identified in the BMP scorecard and in the action tracking systems and are closing them in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Identifies new and emerging issues related to environmental compliance and provides recommendations to the business regarding how to address these items.
  • Sets the environmental compliance agenda for the region
  • Conducts audits to verify compliance with local, regional and TWE requirements.
  • Identifies, prioritizes and implements risk mitigation measures


    Business Continuity


  • Evaluates and makes recommendations related to business continuity issues and risks identified during risk assessments, audits and periodic reviews.
  • Develops and maintains all required documentation related to business continuity and crisis management processes and plans.


Technology and Systems


  • Identifies new and innovative solutions for technology related to efficiencies and sustainability
  • Develops information to share with the Global team on sustainable projects implemented, savings achieved, etc.
  • Leverages existing systems to achieve desired outcomes





  1. Bachelors Degree or higher in Sustainability or Environmental Compliance
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Environmental Compliance/ Sustainability
  3. Knowledge of sustainability programs and issues faced in the food & beverage industry
  4. Thorough knowledge and experience with Local, State, and Federal environmental regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
  5. Interaction with managers (up and down)
  6. Significant facilitation and training experience and good interpersonal skills; collaborative approach.
  7. Ability to plan and implement the plan; self-starter with a sense of urgency.
  8. Sound time management skills and the ability to manage differing projects at the same time.
  9. A desire for action, having the energy and drive to progress projects to conclusion.
