Hospitality Sales Manager - Beaulieu Vineyards

We are currently recruiting for Hospitality Sales Manager to lead our hospitality team to success.  The successful candidate is sales driven and can cultivate a safe and team-oriented culture.  Additionally, you will be charged with creating an amazing guest experience, managing a budget and achieving monthly and annual sales goals. 

Key Responsibilities:

SALES & BUDGET

  • Working with General Manager develop monthly sales programs to drive traffic and sales
  • Provide local on-site promotional support. Develop and produce site collateral and signage
  • Work with marketing support to update Tour programming in Cellarpass
  • Be active in the local hospitality market to build a strong referral channel for new business
  • Working with GM and Marketing team support traffic driving programs

 

GUEST EXPERIENCE

  • Create a culture of brilliant customer service – Every guest every time
  • Monitor tour and tastings to ensure experiences are delivered at the highest guest service standards offerings
  • Implement WISE triple score as the standard of service
  • Engage with customers and solve service issues

STAFF MANAGEMENT

  • Hire, train, schedule and manage large scale site Hospitality staff to achieve results
  • Inspire staff to increase sales and generate positive experience for all guests
  • Demonstrate strong leadership. Coach team members in all aspects of performance, set a positive example at all times.  Work the sales floor, lead VIP tours and interface with top customers to set an example for staff and meet wine sales and club conversion targets
  • Hold BV team to the highest level of wine and sales service standards
  • Ensure team is trained and current on all BV DTC priority wines
  • Lead daily pre-shift meetings ensuring focus on sales objectives and growth behaviors
  • Write and deliver mid-year and annual performance reviews and execute other TWE HR initiatives as directed

SITE OPERATIONS

  • Serve as Manager on Duty which entails opening the property and handling daily banking
  • Work with Central Operations team to ensure new product SKUs and monthly programming is set up in eWinery and RMS
  • Working with other site leads, ensure accuracy, completion and reconciliation of all daily sales transactions and operation of POS terminals
  • Work with Hudson House team to provide staffing and support for all consumer and Trade events and tours.  Attend weekly Hudson House meetings and collaborate on event programming.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to relay their knowledge of wines and wine production
  • Strong work ethic. This position must work weekends, some holidays and evenings and the ability to adapt to a flexible schedule
  • Strong customer service and sales aptitude
  • Dynamic communication skills & positive attitude
  • Creative - big thinker and able to put ideas into action
  • Highly organized. Experience managing multiple priorities and changing environment
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs (a case of wine)
  • BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years in similar retail and or sales leadership role in hospitality industry.  Preferred experience as tasting room manager, hotel front desk manager or hotel shift manager.  (Wine industry specific background is ideal but not essential.
  • 2-3 year experience in a supervisorial role
