Etude Wines is dedicated to mastering the craft of winegrowing. Etude specializes in Estate grown Carneros Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as well as Pinot Noir from other appellations which include Santa Rita Hills, Santa Maria, Sonoma Coast and Yamhill-Carlton (OR). Etude also produces small amounts of Estate grown Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Rose of Pinot Noir and sources incredible Cabernet Sauvignon fruit from the Napa Valley.
This is a full-time internship offering competitive pay. Employment starts in late July 2019 and finishes October-November 2019 - season dependent.
About the Roles
This position will work closely with the winemaking and viticulture teams to coordinate and perform all daily sampling; including grape composition and must analysis, monitoring and tracking fermentations, calibration of laboratory equipment, troubleshooting laboratory equipment, performing bench-top analysis, data collection and recording, and facilitating tastings. Once all laboratory responsibilities are complete, this position will be expected to assist in all cellar responsibilities as required. This is a great opportunity to be exposed to a well rounded cross functional winery experience including cellar work as well as laboratory analysis.
The successful candidate will have laboratory experience and cellar experience, strong organizational skills and time management, computer proficiency, have a quest for quality results and work well individually as well as in a team atmosphere.
