About the Role

An exciting role exists for an energetic, collaborative and commercially focused individual to join our Procurement team as Procurement Manager (Directs). This role is responsible for leading a small team to deliver value, in collaboration with our internal stakeholders and suppliers, across our Direct (packaging materials) categories.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Generate excitement, enthusiasm and commitment to the organization’s vision, strategies, desired culture in line with the TWE values
  • Lead the development of long term commercial strategies for each dry good category
  • Lead or support (via coaching) the execution of sourcing activities that deliver optimal cost & working capital outcomes
  • Provide strong direction to team members in developing a supplier performance management program that deliver revenues, cost and working capital value
  • Develop strong, positive relationships with colleagues in other areas of the business
  • Take a leadership role in bringing the Procurement team closer to other business areas through structured routines
  • Develop and implement a sound governance process to ensure that policies and procedures are complied with and that risks are mitigated &/or managed
  • Track, measure and report value achieved
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures and practices relating to the provision of goods and services including OH&S and the Environment
  • Lead other projects as directed from time to time



  • 5+ years of prior Procurement experience, preferably in the Directs category
  • Management consultancy experience will be looked upon favorably but not required
  • Microsoft Office skills required; advanced in PowerPoint, Excel
  • Advanced communication and relationship management skills
  • Excellent understanding of procurement best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage a small team
  • Demonstrated strength in managing and delivering process change
  • Excellent ability to liaise and influence stakeholders to the highest level
  • JD Edwards or SAP experience is a plus
